Common questions

Aren't dedicated sensors more accurate than cameras?

At a fixed doorway, overhead 3D sensors are genuinely accurate — we say so above. The comparison changes across a whole event footprint: covering zones, dwell, and journeys with door sensors means buying and mounting a unit per area, and they still can't tell you what held anyone's attention. Be skeptical of any vendor — sensor or camera — quoting one accuracy number for every condition; we publish how we define and validate our metrics instead.

Isn't a sensor with no camera automatically better for privacy?

It's simpler, not automatically better. Depth sensors avoid imagery by measuring very little. Camera systems differ in architecture: ours processes frames in memory, stores no video, identifies no one, and keeps only derived numbers — a posture your legal team can review in writing. The right question isn't 'camera or not' but 'what exists after processing?'
